The Sd.Kfz.171V Panther tank is considered one of the finest German tanks of World War II.
The tank's design, which features sloped armor with excellent ballistic protection, is said to have been influenced by the Soviet T-34 tank that it faced in the German-Soviet war. It is equipped with a powerful 75mm gun.
It made its first combat appearance in the Battle of Kursk, which began in July 1943.
The Panther tank underwent improvements as production continued, and the A model was produced after the initial mass-produced D model.
In addition to improving the reliability of the transmission, the turret was equipped with a new design featuring a cupola with a periscope.
More than 2,000 units were produced between 1943 and 1944.
During that time, improvements were made to the details, and these were eventually passed down to the G-type, which is considered the most superior type.
