The Old Guard - The strongest unit in Napoleon's French army.
- Height 178cm or taller.
- Served in the military for 10 years.
- Maximum of 8,000 men, equivalent to 4 infantry regiments.
- In the Battle of Waterloo in 1815, they defended their retreat route to the death.
In Britain, the Household Guards are permitted to wear bearskin caps as a way of honoring their victory over this formidable force.
