High-speed rail (known as "high-speed railway" in China and "high-speed rail" in English) is a railway system that connects cities using dedicated high-speed tracks.
In China, this is a newly constructed passenger railway designed to operate at speeds of 250 km/h or more. Initially, it operates at 200 km/h, and after stable operation, it will operate at 250 km/h or more (in Japan, major sections operate at 200 km/h or more, and the International Union of Railways operates railways at a maximum speed of 250 km/h or more).
Currently, China has the world's largest high-speed rail network.
In 2007, it began operating at a speed of 250 km/h, and by 2025, its high-speed rail network will account for approximately two-thirds of the world's total.

[High-speed train Fuxing-hao CR400AF-S]
The Harmony (和諧) train, the predecessor to the Fuxing (復) train, incorporated high-speed rail technology from overseas, which resulted in complicated maintenance requirements.
To solve the problem, a vehicle called the "China Standard Electric Train Set" was developed as a standard vehicle specification for China, and two prototype trains were completed in 2015.
These two train sets were officially adopted in June 2017 as CR400AF and CR400BF and began operation under the nickname "Reconstruction Train".
The CR400AF and CR400BF are manufactured in different factories. The CR400AF in this kit is an 8-car train capable of a maximum speed of 350 km/h, produced by Qingdao Sifang Locomotive & Rolling Stock and Qingdao Sifang Bombardier Railway Transportation Equipment, while the CR400AF-S is described as a technologically improved, smart version.
The kit reproduces the lead car, car number 01.
