Product Description
The Short Sunderland Mk.III, a large anti-submarine flying boat produced in a total of 866 units (155 of the Mk.V), was equipped with numerous 7.7mm cannons.
Heavily armed, even fighter jets find it difficult to approach. Its name is the Flying Porcupine.
Large in size and excelling in long-range flight, it can be deployed in almost any sea area. It is particularly effective in attacks against German U-boots.
The sinking of the supply submarine Milk Cow U-boot was a significant achievement that dramatically altered the strategy of the German Navy.
The aircraft had a double-decker kitchen (galley) capable of serving hot meals, a thoughtful touch designed to boost crew morale.
