Among the KiHa 40 series trains that operated throughout Japan, the group designed for extremely cold climates featured not only air-cushion spring bogies, but also small double-glazed windows and passenger decks to prevent heat loss from the interior.
Endo's KiHa 40 series and KiHa 400 series in Soya Line express livery are being re-released after a long time, and this time the lineup will also include the 1700 series, a复刻 (reproduction) of the same series in Soya Line express livery, and the series used on the Sassho Line. Please look forward to it.
