Product Description
This diorama accessory recreates the Hesco sand barriers used by the US military and others since the 1990s in battles such as the Iraq War and the conflict in Afghanistan, which were used for defensive purposes at forward bases (FOBs), desert checkpoints, and security checkpoints.
Hesco barriers, developed in the United States, combine box-shaped wire mesh with non-woven fabric sandbags. They can be connected and stacked, and are used for defensive walls and dikes. This product is made of sharp, high-quality resin, delicately reproducing the wrinkles in the non-woven fabric liner and the texture of the soil and pebbles packed tightly on top. With a set of six, you can freely arrange them in a line, create L-shaped corners, or stack them to build multi-layered fortifications. They are ideal for use with armored vehicles such as the M1 Abrams main battle tank, Humvee, and MRAP, as well as infantry figures.
Tips for modelers: After priming with desert sand, pour in a dark wash paint to highlight the mesh texture and fabric wrinkles. For an even more realistic finish, sprinkle a small amount of fine sand on top.
Made of resin. 6 pieces included. *This product is unpainted and unassembled.
