Product Description
The Saab 2000 is a 50/58-seat, twin-engine turboprop aircraft for regional aviation, developed by the Swedish company Saab following the success of its commuter aircraft, the Saab 340.
After its first flight in 1992, 63 units were manufactured before production ended in 1999.
Although primarily operated in Europe, in 1997 the Japanese Ministry of Transport (then the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism) Civil Aviation Bureau also introduced two aircraft for flight inspection purposes, and they were in operation until 2019.
