Hello, Hola, Guten Tag, Bonjour, Ni hao.
This is Tomeko again, greeting in every language she has heard of.
Well, well, well.
Let's continue with the assembly, shall we?
Today, I'm going to start my work on the motor of
Motor Fan Hakucho. I'm right in the middle of the wiring business,
You see the wires and the gears, right?
With this item come two wires, one in red and one in white.
You need to cut them in desiganted lengths, remove part of the plastic coating at both ends and expose the metallic wire inside.
There you go.
Always be careful not to electrocute yourself!
And this is how it looks from the side fof the cog wheels.
Those wheels are quite tough nut to crack, resisting against every effort on my part to set them just so that the motor should work smooth as butter.
Well, let me read the instructions here...
It says that in case you have difficulty fitting the cog wheels, you may have to use a hammer to set them in place.
In fact I myself had to resort to one of those blunt weapons to complete the assembly of the motor.
Let caution be our credo, because it is very very difficult to remove the cog wheels to redo the whole assebling process after you mistakenly fit them upside down or inside out.
And please be careful with your fingers when you work with a hammer.
Shall we move on?
This is the switch part of the motor fan.
This is when it's waiting for the adhesion bond to dry and fix. Hense the rubber bands.
Let's make sure that your room is well ventilated if you use cement indoors.
Looks like they are ready for the next step.
As you can see, there are 3 switches in total, each supported by a spring.
Let me press the one on the right.
And the right one stays low just as it was pushed.
If you press the one in the middle here,...
The one on the right jumps up and in turn the one in the middle stays low
See?
Now, let me press the switch on the left and see what happens.
Ta-da! All three are back to the un-pressed positions.
Lastly let's see the cover parts and seals for the switches.
Well I guess 3 pictures are worth 3 thousand words.
You have only to remove the seals from the mounting and put them on each of the switches.
Easy enough, right?
This is all for today.
I think I will finish the whole thing in our next session.
Until then!
Tomeko
