Miyazawa Models Product Expo [α-model]
Good evening, Kapinozuka here.

There was a bit of a gap, but here is a continuation of the new products exhibition.

[α-model]

α-model is known as the garage maker with a wide variety of AU75 cooler parts amongst N-scale modelers, and Hobby Search has started dealing with them too! *claps*

So I'd like to introduce a few products by α-model that was displayed at the exhibition.

J.N.R. Electric Car Series 111 Lead Car (Kuha111 x2cars) Completion example image

Series 111 is the suburban train, which came before the series 113. Its debuted on the Tokaido main line, and was later active in Yokosuka line and Sanyo main line, and in Shikoku in its final days. There are still preserved trains of it to this current date. So this is a body kit of the series 111. On the left of the photo is and example of it before coloring, and the right is after painting.

J.N.R. Electric Car Series 111 Lead Car (Kuha111 x2cars) product content image

Here is an image of set content. It includes the body of two end cars. The material used is ABS, and clip-in clear plastic parts are used for the window glass parts. The point that caught my personal attention is the Glove Ventilator, as the area joint on to the kit frame is on the bumps of the seats, so its not much of a hassle to disconnect it from the frame and clean the cut-off edges. The glove ventilator is important for non-air conditioned cars.

...I mean, when you build series 101 non-air conditioned 10cars, or the old country long formation train around 73 at once, its basically hell cleaning the cut edges of glove ventilators...

So you can see the care they put into making us modelers craft with ease.

This kit is only the body, and does not include the car base, below floor unit, floorboard, room interior etc, so you will need to obtain them somewhere else to complete this model. However, it is compatible with the floorboards of two large manufactures. Also, there are multiple hooking edge parts on the window, and by removing certain hook parts, you will be able to clip it onto either of the two floor boards. Its very well planned out, I have to say.

J.N.R. Electric Car Series 111 Middle Car (Moha110 + Moha111, one car each)

This here is the middle car body kit which are scheduled to be released in December. Combined with the previous end cars, you can make a formation of at least 4 cars. Its made of ABS and has snap-on windows, just like the end cars.

Personally, I think the quality is very high; it could well be mistaken for a completed model that is still under construction. If you color it, its just as good as the pre-constructed complete models. It would be great to run it along with the other Tokaido line series 80 and 150, or the other trains where it ran, such as the 113. Of course, you can color it to match the line you would like it to fit in with, so it's a very flexible item indeed.

Example of Cable Stopper Holder in use

Such thin cable stopper holder is sold as ABS parts!

Yeah, I got a little excited. For those of you who don't have a clue what I'm going on about, I will give you an explanation. When joining railway trains, there are parts such as break and speaker lines that needs to be connected to each car, not just the main connector that physically joins the two cars, and there is a cable which had been formed from bunching up all these important lines. However, we can't just have it dangling on front cars, and that's where the cable stopper holder comes in, allowing the cable to be safely gathered.

In N-scale, these tiny parts are normally pre-molded on the body itself, roughly deformed, or purchase an expensive etching type parts and construct to reproduce them in most cases. There have been a few extra parts released from the large companies, but not many in plastic yet. So these are great products from α-model.

The one in the photo is colored, but just having the cable like this makes the model greatly realistic;
The resultant effect is very clear.

Right, it was a little rushed, but that's it for the introduction of the α-model booth. As mentioned before, we have started dealing with them, and you can take a look at the items we have from α-model with the following links.

An AU75 series air conditioner are different for each electric company that produced them, so here are the items for those that pursues such details.
- Air Conditioner Type AU75 (H) for N Gauge (4 pieces)
- Air Conditioner Type AU75 (H) (Narrow Hook) for N Gauge (4 pieces)
- Air Conditioner Type AU75 (S) for N Gauge (4 pieces)
- Air Conditioner Type AU75 (H) (Press Louver/Narrow Hook) for N Gauge (4 pieces)
