The 32nd Railway Model Show 2010 Report [Micro Ace – Private Rails]
Good evening, Kapinozuka here.
The annual Railway Model Show 2010 has finished today,
But the reports are still going.

Today we will be looking at the Micro Ace – Private Railway Companies.
This will include the general Private rails, the traffic corporations, and the 3rd sector etc.

Abukuma Express Series A417 (3-Car Set)
Abukuma Express Series A417

In 2009, the series 417 of JR had been moved at lightning speed to the Abukuma Express, being turned into N-Scale already, as the Series A417.

The fresh coloring really does suite it, don't you think?

Tobu Series 50000 Second Formation (Basic 6-car set/Add-on 4-car set)
Tobu Series 50000 Second Formation

The series 50000 positioned on the Tojo Line. It has the same penetration door at the fron like the series 50050 or 50070.
However, it can't run onto the Metro Fukutoshin Line or the Yurakucho Line, as it is for above ground lines.

Just like the previous item (1st formation), I think this will turn out to be a pretty good product.

Tobu 9000 Renewal Car (Basic 6-car set/Add on 4-car set)
Tobu 9000 Renewal Car

The first train to have stainless steel body on the Tobu Railways, positioned on the Tojo Line. The formation with the renewal works to comply with the plans for it to be able to run onto the Fukutoshin Line has been reproduced.

Tokyo Metro Series8000 Renewal Car (Basic 6-Car Set/Add-on 4-car set)
Tokyo Metro Series8000 Renewal Car

The series 8000 on the Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line. The sample is unpainted, but we can see the shape and everything of the front part clearly. It seems that they have re-used the mold pattern from the previously sold Tokyo Metro Series 6000 Late Type Renewal, and the product name includes the word type, which means its not exactly the same.

Eidan Series 3000 Original Door (8-Car Set)
Eidan Series 3000 Original Door

The Eidan Underground Railways series 3000 was a train active on the Hibiya Line, with the silver body and round front as its characteristics.
This set has reproduced the original doors, with the large windows for the passenger use doors.

Eidan Series 3000 Irregular Formation/Door Replacement (8-Car Set)
Eidan Series 3000 Irregular Formation/Door Replacement

Similarly the variation of Eidan Series 3000, with the windows of the door being replaced with smaller ones. There was a period in the Eidan underground railways when they actively pushed for the use of smaller windows for passenger cars, and that has been turned into a model.

This was apparently to prevent kids from wanting to see outside, as the larger window tends to attract the attention of children easier. However, we don't have any proof if this actually had any effect.

Eidan Series 3000 Irregular Formation/Door Replacement
Zooming in on the joint part.
In this series 3000, there is a single formation with the leader cars connected face to face.
This is the reason for this product name being called "Irregular formation".

Keisei Type 3000 (6-Car Set)
Keisei Type 3000

The type 3000 is the group of new type commuter trains of the Keisei Electric Railways.
With the use of Nippon Sharyo Style Block Method, the characteristic of Keisei has been weakened, in my opinion. The model is formation used mainly on the Keisei Mainline Local Train 6-car formation. Slated for releasein later this month, and the sample was displayed at its completed state. It's made very well, in my opinion.

Hokuso Railway Type 7500 (8-Car Set)
Hokuso Railway Type 7500

The Hokuso Railways Type 7500, with different coloring to that of the Keisei Type 3000.
It also runs onto the Toei Asakusa Line and Keikyu Lines too.

Just like the above Keisei type 3000, it is made very well.
This is also slated for release late this month.

Shin-Keisei Type N800 (6-Car Set)
Shin-Keisei Type N800

The New Keisei Electric Railways has been running trains with their own design, even within the Keisei Group, but even as such, the New Keisei has also introduced the same style train to the Keisei Type 3000, the Type N800.
Other than the New Keisei Line, it also runs directly onto the Keisei Chiba Line too.

The stripe color differs to the Keisei Type 3000. The different positioning for the antennae on the roof has also been reproduced.
This is also slated for release late this month.

Kintetsu Series 23000 `Ise Shima Liner` Seat number sign (6-Car Set)
Kintetsu Series 23000 `Ise Shima Liner` Seat number sign

The Kinki Nippon Railways, abbreviated to Kintetsu! It was owned by the Buffalos at one point! The Kintetsu has many limited express running in various places, and this Ise-Shima Liner is the limited express that goes just as the names says, to the Ise/Shima region.

It seemed that the glass part was also temporary parts for the sample, as it was slightly fogged up and we couldn't see inside very well. The interiors are worth paying attention to as well, as there are characteristic areas such as the deluxe seats, salon car, and seaside cafe etc.

Kintetsu Series 23000 `Ise Shima Liner` Debut (6-Car Set)
Kintetsu Series 23000 `Ise Shima Liner` Debut

The variation of the previous item, the model that has been made reproducing the Ise Shima Liner as it was at is debut period. The sample was generally in the same state as the previous item.

The difference between these two are that it doesn't have the seat numbering notice on the passenger door, and it doesn't have the wheel chair mark etc. but I lack knowledge to identify any other differences.

Nishi-Nippon Railroad Type5000 New Company Marking (3-Car set)
Nishi-Nippon Railroad Type5000 New Company Marking

The Nishi-Nippon Railroad, abbreviated to Nishi-tetsu! It was owned by the Lions at one point. (The same flow as last time...gee.)

The only large private railway company in Kyushu, the Nishi-tetsu, but there aren't many cases of it being released in N-Scale. However, one of the main commuters train on the Nishi-Tetsu, the Type 5000 has been boldly made into the N- Scale!
You can't discuss the story of Nishi-Tetsu without this train!

The sample was pre-colored with the characteristic ice green, it looks very cool. However, the photo has its colors slightly adjusted, so im not sure if its exactly like that of the sample at the exhibition.

Nishi-Nippon Railroad Type5000 New Company Marking (4-Car set)
Nishi-Nippon Railroad Type5000 New Company Marking

This is also the Type 5000, but this set is a 4-car formation.
They are both from the 1st~5th production early formation, so there doesn't seem to be any big differences, other than the number of cars. They generally join two 3-car formations to run as a 6-car formation, or join a 4-car and a 3-car to run as a 7-car formation. So for those of you that wish to recreate this train, I say I would recommend getting a 3-car and a 4-car formations.

Right, the Tripple Micro Ace series ends here.

By Kapinozuka, who mentions there might be more.
