Ah, it's my final blog post for the year already. Hello everyone, Tomeko here. We started this blog in April, and looks like we can keep it going into next year. When it started, I was so anxious about when it will just end... But its fine and thats all thanks to all you good people supporting Hobby Search! I here by thank you all on behalf of the Hobby Search team. Lets get on with the blog then. Today, I'd like to run through the items which were most popular for each of the main categories for the year. ♦PVC Figurines Tamaki from Kotobukiya, True Sonic Form Fate from Alter, or the item which we stocked the other day and sold out straight away, the Black Rock Shooter etc, there are many popular items this year... and the item that was most popular out of these items is the following... Saber Lily — Distant Avalon —  That's right, it's Saber, or would you like to call her your wife? The original blue costume was cool, but Lily is more of a pretty type, I would say. Either way, they are awesome! Yeah!! It took a little longer than the initially announced release date, but the quality was worth the wait. Its rather amazing if you think about the fact that these are made in factories. ♦Mecha / Monsters Hero series, monsters, robot animes and movie related figurines, the category with most genre mixed together... and the conqueror of this genre is the following! Robot Spirits < Side KMF > Lancelot Albion  Yeah, Code Geass was very popular this year. If you say robot anime, Gundam or Evangelion comes to mind first, but it seems that these newer series are doing pretty well too. Btw, it didn't sell as well as the first place, but Gaigan did rather well too. ♦Plastic Model Kit Q. I have to say there were basically three strong competitors. 1) White-Glint 2) PG 00 Raiser 3) Hoihoi-san Now, which was the most popular!? *drum roll* A.  With greater popularity than even the White-Glint, which had a very impressive number sold, Hoihoi-san came first!!! 00 Riser did very well too, considering its price and all. ♦Military There was a trend in anime character paintings on cars, and it seems that trends spreads around fast in this world... F-22A Raptor "The Idolmaster Amami Haruka"  Yup, it seemes the world has come to having anime characters on fighter jets. ...well im mildly kidding. With military plastic model kits, I had the impression of a hard-boiled rough world, but it seems that there is a new trend in this arena too. Of course, there are many historical and military models that are being released , and I'm sure there will be great new items from next year too. ♦Car models Well, the orthodox. Ferrari F60  Ferrari that everyone loves has taken the throne. Yup, it just looks great. ♦Rail model Choshi Electric Railway Deki 3 (Black) (W/Motor)  I'm not so well informed about rail models, but I did see this one quite often on the top 10 ranking. Apparently it's a freight car for lugging soy sauce... kinda weird if you picture a luggage train that just carries soy sauce... ♦Dolls EX Cute / Secret wonderland Koron  She made an appearance on this blog before, and she had the No.1 popularity for the year. There were many other from this series, but the totally white coordination may have lead her to victory. ♦Character Goods Ikki Tousen -Great Guardians- Kanu Unchou Dakimakura Cover Hobby Search Limited Ver. 2WAY Tricot  Having the announcement of 4th season being produced, miss Kanu as a huggable pillowcase. You can stuff it, display it, or even snuggle inside it, I think there are number of ways to enjoy this item. ♦Books and Magazines Dengeki G`s Festival DELUXE Vol.5  With extras like huggable pillowcase and illustrated playing cards, this is a superb volume. One might even think the magazine itself is the extr... *cough cough* And it was only released yesterday, so its super fresh! Right, so that was me looking back at year 2009. We have come a long way, now that I think about it... *nostalgic mood* I hope we can continue these product introductions and deliver some humor while we are at it too. Anyway, thanks again everyone!
