On May 25 and 26, 1996, E851 pulled, for the first and last time, passenger cars instead of freight cars in an event commemorating its retirement in compliance with fans` request. The private railway company, Seibu Railways, rented six Series-12 passenger-cars from JR for the locomotive to tract. The blue passenger-cars with white line matched the reddish-orange locomotive wonderfully. Many fans still vividly remember the once-in-a-lifetime train.

Note: The product is a set of (6) passenger cars, not including the locomotive E851.
