This train was made for the purpose of examining radio communications equipment, a motor, a chassis, a pantograph developed newly.
It belongs to Suita factory of JR West, and a pet name called "U@tech" is attached.
This train performs test operation by JR Kyoto Line and JR Kobe Line.
