- Luxury Cruise Train representing JR East Japan Will be commercialized with KATO's latest technology.

- E001 type prepared exclusively for cruise train adopts [EDC method] which collects current from the overhead wire as usual in the electrified section and drives the main motor with the power of the diesel generator mounted on the vehicle in the non-electrified section , It corresponds to DC 1500 V, AC 20,000 V (50 Hz / 60 Hz), AC 25,000 V (Hokkaido Shinkansen common section), and it can operate in a wide range regardless of whether it is electrified or not.
