[Commentary]
- From 1974 (Showa 49), the 103 series of specifications adapted to the ATC conversion of the Yamanote line and the Keihin Tohoku line were manufactured. The appearance was changed mainly in the front part, the front window was shrunk by the high driving platform, and it was decorated with a stainless steel belt under it. From 1979 (Showa 54) year, some cars with no ATC for part of the railroad were added, and a rear door pocket window on the side of the crew member room was established. Cooling by the centralized cooler was done for the initial type, but there is also an inverter cooler mounted type that can be remodeled at a low cost in a short period for the remodeled car of JR East.
- The product consists of 4 unit windows with body roof integral type and 2 early intermediate cars of assembled type, and 2 centralized type and inverter cooler are included for each 2 cars. You can also reproduce the ATC car by plugging the rear door closet window on the side of the crew member room with a plastic plate or the like. An entrance for reproducing the louver is attached.
