- CA-44 Vince Sense was completed in 1937 as the 7th ship of the New Orleans-class heavy cruiser.
- Participated in the Battle of the Midway and the land battle on Guadalcanal Island, and was sunk by being attacked by the Japanese navy in the 1st Solomon naval battle.
