[Actual vehicle guide]
- The Marine liner of the Seto Ohashi bridge line which began active in October 2003 is operated with 223-5000 series owned by JR West Japan and 5000 series owned by JR Shikoku
- 223-5000 series is based on the 223-2000 series active in the Kansai area, it is made to pass through by using the hinged frame when joining the top cars
- Two floor type 5100 is based on E 217 series Salo and 5200 · 5000 type is based on 223-2000 series
