Product Description
- First full model change in 13 years. Next-generation Shinkansen standard carriage!
- Basic, add-on and starter sets are produced with JR Central J formations
[Product introduction]
- We will be producing the N700S Shinkansen [Nozomi], the latest train on the Tokaido Shinkansen line.
- The N700S Shinkansen was developed as JR Central's next-generation standard Shinkansen train, and began operation between Tokyo and Shin-Osaka in July 2020.
- It is called "Supreme," meaning it is the best Shinkansen train in the N700 series, and it will be the first full model change for the Tokaido Shinkansen in 13 years.
- Compared to the previous state-of-the-art N700A, the N700A has been designed to further improve stability, safety, comfort and convenience, and incorporates the latest technologies such as shorter braking distances during earthquakes, strengthened measures to prevent snow accumulation, a battery-powered self-propelled system in emergency situations, and a fully active vibration control device.
- Accurately reproduces the distinctive front shape known as the Dual Supreme Wing design with raised edges on both sides of the vehicle, the design around the lights, and the gold-based symbol mark on the side.
- In addition, KATO's unique car body tilting mechanism is installed to realistically reproduce the inward car body tilt just like the real car.
- In addition to the affordable Basic Set (4 cars), Add-on Set A (4 cars), and Add-on Set B (8 cars), we also offer a Starter Set.
