--The Odakyu 8000 series is a 20m4 door vehicle manufactured from 1982 to 1987 as a ground-only vehicle on the Odakyu Line, and is a general-purpose vehicle that can be used from local trains to rapid express trains.
--Renewal work has been carried out since 2002, and the destination display has been changed to LED, the front passage indicator has been removed, the shape of the side destination display has been changed, and the car side lights and tail lights have been changed to LEDs.
--In addition, since 2003, remodeling to the VVVF inverter control method has been promoted, and minor differences in specifications can be seen depending on the update time.

――The Kuya 31 type is a dedicated vehicle for comprehensive inspection of tracks and overhead lines, equipped with pantographs and bogies for inspection, and is active in combination with inspection vehicle compatible formations.
――With the scrapping of the 1000 type, which was a corresponding formation, the 8065 formation and 8066 formation are newly changed to the inspection car compatible formation, and the test run was carried out on October 29, 2021.
