--A rotor ship that moves forward due to the Magnus effect of a rotating cylinder.
--Invented by German aviation engineer Anton Flettner.
--Overall length 87m
--Displacement 1700 tons
--Two diesel engines
--The rotor is powered by diesel and rotated by a motor.
--Equipped with a normal screw.
--A maximum of 13 knots were demonstrated.
--Sold in 1933 due to the Great Depression.
