--On the Soya Main Line in the 1970s, C55 and C57 were used to tow passenger trains, and some trains were connected to luggage cars transported by Seikan Ferry from Honshu.
――The passenger train on the Soya Main Line remained a passenger train by DD51 type towing due to the convenience of luggage transportation even after the steam locomotive was completely abolished, and in later years the vehicle used was changed to 50 series 51 type and operated.
