--The ALC-42 charger has a maximum of 4,200 horsepower and the output is almost the same as the GE P42 Genesis, but it combines energy saving and high-speed performance (maximum speed 201 km / h) that incorporates the know-how of European railways and an engine that complies with exhaust regulations. It is a new-generation electric diesel locomotive, and is attracting attention as the next main locomotive of Amtrack.
--In June 2021, the first ALC-42 Charger Phase VI painted machine No. 300 was completed, and then the completed No. 301 machine was painted for the 50th anniversary DAYOne (scheduled to be released from KATO), and the Nos. 302 to 308 were painted with Phase VI. , Unit 309 and later have been completed with Phase VII painting.
