Product Description

- The S-Boat, German for Schnellboot, is a fast combat boat used by the German Navy during World War II.
- S-boats were extremely fast ships, capable of cruising at over 40 knots, and their wooden hulls meant they could cross magnetic minefields unscathed.
- The boat was well suited for open seas and had a fairly long range of about 700 nautical miles.
- The Schnellboat carried out commerce destruction, etc., and is said to have been the second most successful after the U-boat.
- The S-38 was a redesigned late version with an armored wheelhouse.
- Equipped with various armaments including Bofors 40mm cannon, 2cm Flak etc. in the stern.
