[SD70M]
- The SD70M is a 4,000 horsepower (2,980 kW) diesel locomotive. It is the most produced of the SD70 series, with 1,646 built between 1992 and 2004.
- Of these, UP owns 1,455 and NS owns 68.
- The appearance is very similar to the SD70MAC, but the difference in the actual vehicle is that the main motor is a DC motor on the SD70M and an AC motor on the SD70MAC.
- SD70M is available in two types: cars with two windows in front of the driver's cab and cars with three windows, cars with two radiator panels on each side and cars with four radiator panels on each side, and cars with HT-C type bogies and cars with HTCR type bogies.
- The SD70M is still in active service across the United States, towing Cole Porters, MAXI-Is and other locomotives in combination with SD70ACe and ES44ACs.

[CSX Transportation (CSX)]
CSX was established on June 1, 1986, when the Seaboard System Railroad (SBD) merged with the Chessey System, which operated four railroads, and renamed itself.
- The parent company, CSX Corporation, was formed in 1980 and was at that time a holding company that operated each railroad under a separate name.
- It serves many states in the eastern United States, and some routes even reach nearby cities in Canada.
- The name of the railway comes from the fact that [C] stands for Chessey System and [S] stands for Seaboard System Railroad.
