Product Description

──Running on the only DC-electrified section of JR lines in the Tohoku region! The 103 series Senseki Line renewal cars are now available with new paint jobs!

- The 103 series is a commuter train that was introduced in 1963, and over 3,400 cars were manufactured in total.
- The Senseki Line runs from Aoba-dori Station in Miyagi Prefecture to Ishinomaki Station, and is the only DC-electrified JR line in the Tohoku region.
- Of the 103 series trains taken over by JR East after the privatization of Japanese National Railways, the cars introduced on the Senseki Line in 1989 underwent body replacement work to improve their performance.
- As part of this renovation work, the front window was changed to a two-part design unique to the Senseki Line, and other changes were also made to the boarding and alighting doors and side window sashes, as well as the front operation display being replaced with a type display.
- Also, from around 1998, the trains were gradually repainted in a new color scheme based on blue and white.
- This product recreates the appearance of a train that includes a 103-type Kumoha car, repainted in new paint with the roof ventilators still remaining.

- By using a separately sold power unit and N gauge running parts, it can be run as an N gauge model train.
- We recommend the following power unit: TM-18 (20m class D), running parts set: TT-03R (for KuHa 103 and SaHa 103) and TT-05 (for KuMoHa 103 and MoHa 102), pantograph: PS16P <0230>.
*Display stand is not included.
