──New production of Kiha 65 series! High-grade Kiha 58 series express diesel car (Sand Dune)

[Actual vehicle guide]
The Kiha 58 series is an express diesel car developed by the Japanese National Railways in 1961. Over 1,800 cars were manufactured in total, including the Kiha 56 series for Hokkaido and the Kiha 57 series for the Shinetsu Main Line Usui Pass, and were used mainly on express trains throughout the country.
The express train "Sand Dune" that runs between Okayama in the Sanyo region and Tottori in the Sanin region has been fitted with Kiroha 28 series cars that have been converted into green cars since around 1987, and was given the number 100 to distinguish it from the Kiroha 28 series cars that previously existed in Shikoku.
Around 1991, the train was renovated to include reclining seats, and the exterior was repainted in the original "Sand Dune" paint scheme. Combined with the tablet block and semaphore signals that remain on the line, this made the train even more popular.

High grade (HG) specifications
The body and side windows of the Kiha 65 series are made using new molds, and like the Kiha 58 and 28 series, the jumper plugs, hoses, and typhoons at the front are made into separate parts, improving the sense of detail.
Standard car seats are reclining seats
The head and tail light shading units are small shading cases used in the Kiha 56-200 series, improving the see-through feel around the front of the train.
Printed train mark included
The green car mark and logo of the Kiroha 28 series are reproduced by printing.
Head and tail lights and front display are equipped with constant lighting boards and ON-OFF switches
Head and tail lights and front display are illuminated by white LEDs
The headlights use color prisms to produce a color close to that of an incandescent bulb.
The front display is interchangeable and comes with a printed part [Express] and a [Express] with a black base.
Car number is selectable and transfer sheet included
Flywheel-equipped motor, new current collection system, black wheels
Uses M-13 motor, TN coupler (SP) standard equipment
