Product Description

Farewell to the pedigree of the 22000 series [square zoom] The final commercialization of the 2200 series this spring

Nankai Electric Railway is a railway company that runs from Namba in Osaka to Wakayama, Koyasan, and Kansai International Airport.
Founded in December 1885, it is the oldest private railway in Japan.
The 2200 series 2230 type was based on the 22000 series that had been in operation on the Nankai Koya Line since 1969, and was introduced in 1993 as a modified version for use on branch lines.
This series had its front hood frame and electrical coupler removed, and in later years was modified to accommodate one-man operation.
Since their introduction, they have been used on branch lines such as the Koya Line (between Shiomibashi Station and Kishinosato Tamade Station), Takashihama Line, Tanagawa Line, Kada Line, and Wakayamako Line, but all of them are scheduled to be retired in the spring of 2025.
Upon retirement, from January 2025, the 2231 train will be restored to its original appearance as the 22000 series, with an oriental green body and an emerald green stripe.
This time, we will be recreating the 2231 train, which has been restored to the same paint job as the 22000 series, and the 2232 train, which will be retired with its current paint job.
*Due to the nature of the mold, some parts, such as underfloor equipment, may differ in shape from the actual vehicle.

By using a separately sold power unit and N gauge running parts, it can be run as an N gauge model train.
We recommend the TM-05R (17m class A) power unit, TT-04R running parts set, and PT4811N <0258> pantograph.
