Product Description
Ukraine's Clear Prop! is pleased to present a completely new 1/72 MiG-19 injection kit.
The MiG-19 was the Soviet Union's first supersonic fighter, first flying in 1953.
The first production model, the MiG-19S, was a day fighter, but the radar-equipped MiG-19P was an all-weather fighter.
The MiG-19PM is a missile fighter that does not have the 30mm cannon of the S/P model and is armed with radar-guided US-2 (AA-1 Alkali) air-to-air missiles.
Many MiG-19s have been exported to countries around the world, including former Eastern Bloc countries and Third World countries, and are said to still be in active service with the North Korean Air Force.
Each kit comes with dedicated main wings and armament parts (2 rocket pods for the P type, 4 US-2 missiles for the PM type), and both kits allow the canopy and airbrakes to be displayed in either open or closed position. The ailerons and rudders are separate parts, and photo-etched parts and multiple decals are included.
Special aftermarket parts will also be released at the same time (see separate sheet).
When completed, the total length will be approximately 183mm and the total width approximately 126mm.
-9 decals included: 1 each for Poland, East Germany, Hungary, Bulgaria, 3 for Czechoslovakia, and 2 for the USSR
