This is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit of the PaK97/38, an anti-tank gun developed and deployed by the German army during World War II.

[About the gun]
During the early stages of World War II, the German army invaded France and Poland and captured a large number of French-made 75mm M1897 field guns, which they deployed and used as their own weapons.
Later, the PaK97/38 was born by combining the barrel and recoil mechanism of the M1897 field gun with the 5cm PaK38 carriage, which had no suspension and was more suitable for towing.
The first gun was manufactured in 1941, and it is said that about 3,500 were produced by 1943.
When the German army began their invasion of the Soviet Union in 1941, the gun was used on the Eastern Front as a counter to the Soviet T-34 and KV-1.
