Product Description

--The Japanese Navy's Type 2 special submarine with floats is now available in the MONO Dragon series.
This is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit that recreates the float-equipped HK-2 Ka-Mi amphibious tank deployed and operated by the Imperial Japanese Navy during World War II.

[About the actual car]
During World War II, the Japanese Navy developed and equipped its Marine Corps with the cooperation of the Army with the Type 2 Special Combat Tank (Kami).
It was based on the Army's Type 95 light tank, which was fully welded and had rubber seals on the hatches.
The turret was taken from the Type 2 tank, and the main gun was a 37mm Type 1 tank gun.
The vehicle was equipped with detachable floats at the front and rear to provide buoyancy, allowing it to be used both on land and in water.
The floats were removed after the landing and the tanks continued their advance as normal tanks.
It was standardized in 1942, and approximately 180 vehicles were produced by the end of the war.
After its first combat deployment in Saipan, it was used extensively on battlefields in southern islands such as New Guinea.

[About the model]
This is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit that recreates the Type 2 Ka-Mi amphibious tank, developed and used by the Japanese military during World War II.
-The model is equipped with floats at the front and rear, allowing it to sail on the ocean.
- The front float is a reproduction of the later model, which was divided into left and right parts. Not only the shape of the float but also the details such as the mounting hardware are accurately reproduced.
-In addition, the observation tower on top of the turret and the ventilation shaft on top of the engine room are also faithfully reproduced.
- Slide molds are used extensively for the rear float, upper and lower body parts, etc., making assembly easy and reliable.
- The wheels and suspension are detailed and realistic. The tracks use a belt system that makes assembly easy.
-In addition, the turret is accurately reproduced, with the 37mm tank gun even replicating the base of the barrel that fits inside the turret, giving it a mechanical finish.
- Turret hatches and hull ventilation grill hatches can be assembled open or closed.
-This is a fun kit that shows the unique style of an amphibious tank.
