Product Description
The Air Self-Defense Force's F-2 fighter jet is a successor to the F-1, Japan's first domestically produced jet fighter, and was developed by overcoming external pressure and numerous twists and turns, with a strict commitment to domestic production.
Although its appearance resembles that of the American-made F-16, there are few similarities between the two. The aircraft is constructed entirely with Japanese technology, including a digital fly-by-wire flight control system that reflects the results of CCV (control stability) research, a phased array radar and fire control system, and large main wings made of carbon fiber.
The F-2A is designed to allow a single pilot to operate its complex systems, and as a multi-role aircraft with a wide range of functions, from anti-ship missile operations to ground attack missions, it continues to play a major role on the front lines of national defense.
In addition to the conventional product, this product comes with one pilot figure wearing the standard ASDF helmet.
The design perfectly fits the unique rearward tilting seat of the F-2, resulting in a realistic finish.
