In 1977, the 12400 series was introduced, based on the 12200 series (New Snack Car) and featuring a completely new front exterior and interior design, and was given the name "Sunny Car."
The design, which has won a Blue Ribbon Award, was inherited by the 30000 series (New Vista Car), 12410 series, and 12600 series that appeared the following year, and is still popular today as a representative Kintetsu limited express car of the 1970s.

In addition to the 12400 series, this kit can also be used to create a 4-car 12200 series non-updated train by cutting and joining the included door parts.
*Updated cars can also be produced by modifying the front of the 12400 series.
Includes parts for cutting and joining the side panels of the snack corner to recreate the snack car, and front parts for the 12410 (12600) series.
The front panoramic window uses a snap-in type clear part.

*Power unit, bogie, pantograph, and vehicle markings are sold separately.
