Product Description
──Nostalgic updated colors before they became regional colors
[Product overview]
Among the 115 series trains in service at JR West, those in good condition were subjected to the 40N structural improvement work, which began in 1998 and included a major renewal of the car bodies and replacement of seats.
External features include a raised roof, removal of the ventilator, changes to the support method for the side window glass, and black sashes.
The paint color has been updated to a light brown base with brown around the windows and blue lines, the company's corporate color.
From 2009, the trains were gradually repainted in the Chugoku region color scheme, which was a solid yellow.
