Product Description

The Safir was a two-seater, single-engine trainer aircraft manufactured by Svenska Aeroplan AB (SAAB) in Sweden, which first flew in 1945. A total of 323 aircraft were produced at two factories: Saab and De Schelde in the Netherlands.
This aircraft was used by many military and civilian airlines, mainly in Northern Europe, and received high praise. One of these aircraft was purchased by the Japanese Defense Agency Technical Research Institute, which had imported it as a civilian aircraft, and flight tests were conducted on it as the X1G STOL aircraft (Saab-Saphir 91B modified) by replacing the main wings with newly designed high-lift ones.
