This is a 1/72 scale plastic model assembly kit that recreates the historic Harrier V/STOL fighter.

[About the actual machine]
The Harrier was born in 1966 as the world's first practical vertical take-off and landing aircraft.
The US Marine Corps is also considering deploying the aircraft, focusing on its ability to take off and land without the need for facilities such as a well-maintained airfield.
The AV-8B Harrier II was developed in collaboration with the UK, with improvements made to weapon load capacity and range.
The wings have been enlarged to increase weapon carrying capacity, and the aircraft is fitted with an upgraded version of the more powerful Rolls-Royce Pegasus engine.
It had a top speed of 1085km/h.
It first flew in 1983 and entered service with the US Marine Corps in 1987.
The AV-8B Harrier II, operated by the US Marine Corps, saw action in Operation Desert Storm, the Iraq War, and the Afghanistan War.
