[Kintetsu Railway 1A Series]
Following the 8A series introduced on the Nara, Kyoto, Kashihara, and Tenri lines, the new series began operation in January 2026 as a new general-purpose vehicle for the Nagoya, Yamada, Toba, and Osaka lines.
The exterior has the same distinctive octagonal shape as the 8A series, but is a two-tone blue and white color that is different from the 8A series.
Multipurpose toilets have been installed on board to improve convenience during long journeys.
Like the 8A series, L/C seats are used, which can be switched between long seats and cross seats depending on usage.
Two spaces for strollers and large luggage (Yasashiba) have been installed in each carriage, and door opening and closing switches have also been installed to keep the interior of the carriage warm during long stops in summer and winter.
