Product Description
This is a newly designed, new mold product.
The air defense destroyer Fuyuzuki was built as one of the Akizuki-class air defense destroyers, a groundbreaking type of ship built to accompany aircraft carrier task forces.
The idea of an anti-aircraft ship was driven forward by the long-barreled 10cm anti-aircraft gun.
The large hull, comparable in size to that of a cruiser, was equipped with two twin gun bays at the front and rear.
The Fuyutsuki was built as a modified Akizuki-class destroyer, which simplified the construction process of the Akizuki-class.
During Operation Kikusui, the ship provided air defense escort for the battleship Yamato.
The Fuyutsuki and Suzutsuki, which participated in Operation Kikusui, survived the war and their hulls now serve as breakwaters protecting Kitakyushu Port (Wakamatsu Port).
The kit recreates the ship's appearance during Operation Kikusui.
Newly developed [10cm long gun chamber].
The bridge, funnel, and rear structure of the Akizuki-class ship are reproduced in a simplified form based on the construction process.
