Product Description

The air defense destroyer created by the Imperial Japanese Navy! The Akizuki/Hatsuzuki is now available with etched parts!

The products are designed with a snap-fit system that does not require adhesive, making this a series that stands out from conventional kits.
All assembly methods are snap-together (except for bonus parts for heavy users).
The color tones are expressed using pre-colored molding material for the main color divisions, and the details and markings are reproduced with realistic stickers with excellent tracking properties.

[The product is a set of two ships: the first ship [Akizuki] and the fourth ship [Hatsuzuki]]
- Both are based on the appearance of the ship during Operation Sho-Ichi-Go (the Battle of Cape Engano) in October 1944.
- The mast is equipped with a No. 21 radar, and its shape symbolizes wartime, when many of the portholes were blocked off as a result of lessons learned from war.
- The differences between Akizuki and Hatsuzuki are the torpedo transport rails and bridge parts, which are each made into dedicated parts to differentiate them.

[Reproduction features of major parts]
- About the hull/bottom
- Akizuki's hull color is a dark gray Sasebo Naval Arsenal color, while Hatsuzuki's hull color is a molded color that imitates the lightest gray Maizuru Naval Arsenal color.
- The hull and bottom parts are separated at the waterline, allowing you to choose between building a full hull or an offshore model.
- The blocked portholes on the sides are expressed in three dimensions with raised carvings.
- The joints and steps of the outer panels on the side of the ship are expressed based on the remaining cross-section diagram.
- The bottom of the ship is recreated with sculptured joints and water supply and drainage ports.
- The top deck has a subtle drainage slope that tilts to the left and right.

- Differences between Akizuki and Hatsuzuki
- The shapes of the signal station decks, which differ between Akizuki and Hatsuzuki, are made into separate parts.
- The steam exhaust pipe on the port side of the chimney runs high on the Akizuki and low on the Hatsuzuki.
- The rails behind the port side of the torpedo tubes are different between Akizuki and Hatsuzuki, so separate parts are provided.
- The shape of the rear machine gun turret is hexagonal on the Akizuki and modified octagonal on the Hatsuzuki.

- Details
- The molded parts of the bridge windows are transparent.
-The design of the Compass Bridge windows is stepped from the front to the side.
-Represents the anti-aircraft struts that are slightly visible on the signal station deck.
- Accurately reproduces the design of the compass bridge and signal station deck at different heights.
- Grating is laid in the center of the air defense command post, and the steps are also represented by sculptures.
- The main gun [10cm long cannon] is intricately sculpted into a three-dimensional form.
- At the rear of the bridge, a radar room was installed above the vegetable box, based on Hatsuzuki's drawings.
- There is a passageway and storeroom at the base of the chimney that leads to both sides, and parts are designed to pass through the passageway on both sides.
- On the starboard side, there is a linoleum deck extending from the stern, and based on historical photographs, it is estimated that the end of this deck is the machine gun turret in front of the torpedo tubes (frame 99).

- Bonus adhesive parts are included for added precision.
- Includes small parts such as a 25mm single machine gun, bulletproof plates, and ammunition boxes.
- The single machine gun placement can be either the final placement up to the cutter mounting section, or the placement in June 1944 according to investigation materials after Operation A.

- Comes with pre-cut realistic stickers that adhere well to uneven surfaces.
- The stickers include details that require detailed coloring, such as the naval ensign, life buoy, and the inside of the cutter.
- Propeller shafts are said to be originally the color of the ship's bottom or black, but stickers are also included to make the shaft gold for a more aesthetically pleasing look.
- Includes special recordings of the white lines on the gun barrels and the grating boards of the air defense command post.
- As a service, the names of ships on the Fuyutsuki side after the end of the war are included, which can be used for modifications.

- Display stand
- The shape has been revised and the new design has improved stability! The center of gravity is lowered and the installation area is increased for stability.
- The horizontal surface is reversible, with a smooth surface and a rough carving, and can be painted blue to create the impression of waves.
-Molded in black and consists of 4 parts.

Two ships' worth of etched parts are included, allowing for detailed reproduction that is difficult to achieve with injection parts.
Etched parts include handrails, No. 13 radar, No. 21 radar, skid beam, depth charge loading, gangway, various davits, ladder, flagpole, single machine gun, torpedo screw, mantlet, anti-aircraft sight, and details around the chimney.
