Product Description

A special edition Nagato is now available again, with etched parts included!

The product is based on the ship's appearance during Operation Sho-Ichi-Go in October 1944, after it had served as the flagship of the Combined Fleet for many years.
The ship has undergone modifications based on lessons learned from war, including the installation of a radar, removal of secondary guns, and blocking of portholes.

[Reproduction features of major parts]

- Hull
- The seams of the armor plates on the sides are reproduced with great precision.
- Most of the portholes are blocked off, and the shapes created by the blocking plates are delicately expressed with convex carvings.
- Pre-colored plastic parts that mimic the Kure Naval Arsenal colors, based on the records of the ship's docking in May and June 1943.

- Bottom
- The joints of the ship's bottom plate are reproduced with delicate carving.
- The water supply and drainage ports at the bottom are based on surviving ship drawings.
- The bottom of the ship, screw brackets and rudder are molded in red, and the propeller is molded in gold, so no painting is required.

- Bridge
- The main observation post and backup command post have replica steel coverings on the front.
- The floor surfaces of each level of the bridge are reproduced down to the smallest details, including linoleum, gratings, and strips.
- A slide mold is used for the walls at the base of the bridge to express the shape.

- Main gun/secondary gun
- The difference between the main gun canopies of numbers 1 and 4 and numbers 2 and 3, with and without ladders, is expressed as separate parts.
- The main gun muzzle is recreated as an opening using a slide mold.
- The waterproof canvas of the secondary guns is reproduced without omission.

- Chimneys, aircraft work decks, etc.
- The chimney is easy to assemble by integrating ancillary equipment such as steam exhaust pipes.
- The aircraft work deck is a pre-painted molded product that is linoleum-colored and does not require painting.
- Even the fasteners on the aircraft transport rails are depicted with delicate carvings.
- The catapult uses a slide mold to reproduce the shape of the side truss and top surface.
- The two No. 13 radars on the rear mast are molded integrally with the radar support base, reducing assembly labor.
- The aircraft lifting crane is in its stowed position, and the base cover has been recreated based on remaining photographs.

- others
- Emergency lumber storage areas, symbolic of wartime, are recreated in various locations in the center of the ship.
- Two 9m cutters are deployed and suspended, two are stored on deck, the davit on the starboard rear is stored, and one cutter is included as a bonus.
- The sandbags piled up in the single machine gun area for bulletproof purposes are reproduced with special parts.
- The sandbag parts are beige and look like burlap bags.
- One dark green Zero-type seaplane observation aircraft is included as a carrier-based reconnaissance aircraft.
- The Zero-type seaplane observation aircraft is designed to recreate the Japanese flag and yellow stripe using the included stickers.

- Attached sticker
- Includes a sticker specifically for the battleship Nagato.
- Includes a variety of pre-cut stickers to add detail and bonus content for more enthusiastic fans.
- Includes naval ensigns, main gun waterproof canvas, bridge windows and emergency timber.
- Bonus items include a single machine gun mount, propeller shaft (gold), bridge canvas, etc. (cutting required)

- Bonus recording
-Parts that can be reproduced and assembled by gluing are available for heavy users.
Bonus parts include bulletproof plates for the machine gun section, gangway, 25mm single machine gun, deck intake and exhaust stacks, additional speaking tube outside the bridge, and binocular telescope.

- Display stand
- The shape has been revised and the new design has improved stability! The center of gravity is lowered and the installation area is increased for stability.
- The horizontal surface is reversible, with a smooth surface and a rough carving, and can be painted blue to create the appearance of waves.
-Molded in black and consists of 4 parts.

These are etching parts that can express fine details that are difficult to reproduce with injection parts.
Use them as you like, from the most obvious parts to the small details. This is a wide range of photo-etched parts with a wide range of options.
The etched parts include various handrails (legless type, with some slackness) for the hull, bridge, turret, etc., ladders, ladders, watertight doors, gangway, direction finder, No. 21 radar, searchlight base truss, crane, bridge window frame, boat davit, Kure Type 2 Type 5 launcher, machine gun shield, machine gun sight, single machine gun, seaplane propeller, loop antenna, No. 13 radar, main gun barrel canvas holder, chimney rainwater cover wire mesh, aftermast yard, aircraft carrier, turret antenna support, etc.

The products are designed with a snap-fit system that does not require adhesive, making this a series that stands out from conventional kits.
All assembly methods are snap-together (except for bonus parts for heavy users).
The color tones are expressed using pre-colored molding materials with the main colors separated in advance, and the details and markings are reproduced with realistic stickers that have excellent tracking properties.
