Product Description

The full hull type of the modified Suzuya-class heavy cruiser [Ibuki] is now available with a new mold.

[Basic specifications]
This is an unpainted kit that requires assembly and painting.
- Scale is 1/700, full hull specification including the bottom of the ship
・This product is made up of a conventional (special series) mold and a newly added mold.
・Product configuration: below the waterline, 2025 design mold, offshore, 2020 design mold

[Product Specifications]
The product is based on the appearance of the first modified Suzuya-class ship, Ibuki, completed as a heavy cruiser during wartime.
-Reproduced with special parts such as the rear mast position and torpedo tubes, which are different from the Mogami type.

[Hull]
-Hull parts with the same cross-sectional shape as the late Mogami-class ships [Suzuya and Kumano]
→The cross-sectional shape of the side is a special mold part that is different from the previous Mogami and Mikuma models.
・The portholes were closed based on lessons learned from wartime experience.
→Reproduced using a special mold prepared separately from the heavy cruiser Mogami class of 1941
-Separate parts for left and right

[bridge]
The front mast is equipped with one No. 21 radar, two No. 22 radars and an E27 radar.
→ Radar No. 22 is a very small and realistic model that pursues a sense of scale.
-Transparent parts for the bridge windows for a more realistic finish
・The anti-aircraft devices on both sides of the bridge are Type 94 anti-aircraft devices
→ The Mogami type comes with different parts for the Type 91 anti-aircraft system.
- The floors of the air defense command post and compass bridge are carved with delicate grating.
- The air defense command post comes with a binocular telescope part that adds a sense of precision just by attaching it.

[Equipment/Central section]
- Equipped with a thin chimney, which is a feature of the 10 boilers installed, the same as the Suzuya and Kumano
→ A dedicated part that is different from the type with a thick front flue for Mogami and Mikuma is included.
-Funnel cap is a molded part in a [detached state]
- Steam exhaust pipe is designed as a separate part to enhance precision
The shelter where the torpedo tubes are installed is a three-dimensional spare torpedo storage area.

- The torpedo tubes are the quadruple ones that were planned for the initial plan.
→ Torpedo tubes are Ibuki-exclusive parts
- Torpedo tube position can be selected and reproduced in any direction.
→Can reproduce the normal state along the bow and tail line, as well as the rotated firing position
- The catapult (Kure Type 2, Model 5) uses a slide mold to realistically reproduce the side and top shapes.

[Outfittings/stern side]
The rear mast is an Ibuki-exclusive part that recreates the appearance of the ship equipped just before the No. 4 turret.
→ The seaplane hoisting crane and No. 13 radar are also in different positions than those on the Suzuya.
- The stern of the ship features depth charge dropping tracks and depth charges as anti-submarine armament, reproduced with special parts.

[Equipment/Armament]
- 25mm machine guns (triple/double/single) come with precision machine gun parts with separate barrels and gun mounts.
→ After painting the gunmetal and warship colors, you can easily paint the parts by assembling the runners and gluing them together.
- Main gun barrel elevation angle is fixed

[Bottom]
- The bottom of the ship is a one-piece structure
- The side bulges are made into parts below the waterline, while the hull bulges above the waterline are expressed as one with the hull.
-Realistic representation of the shape of the shaft bracket and the curved shape of the eddy plate
- The thickness of the rudder mounting part is reproduced, and the surface of the balanced twin rudders is engraved for a three-dimensional design.
- Water supply and drainage ports are carved into the bottom of the ship
- The bilge keel is integrated with the bulge, and the bulge reproduces the larger external shape after performance improvements.

[Carriage-based aircraft]
- Includes three Zuiuns, which were used as carrier-based floatplanes at the end of the war.
- The molding color is gray to improve workability (to prevent damage when cutting the gate).

[Included decals]
- Includes two types of decals, a total of three
- Two decal sheets containing markings such as the naval ensign, national flag, and the Japanese flag for aircraft carriers.
→ Naval ensigns and other items are available in three sizes. The actual dimensions are 10cm wide, 6cm wide, and 3cm wide, all in 1/700 scale.
→ Includes the Hinomaru flag of carrier-based aircraft, friendly identification bands (yellow bands), etc. The Hinomaru flag also includes the one without the white border from the latter half of the war.
- One decal sheet containing the stern ship name, white line for the rear mast, draft mark, etc.
→ The stern ship name is painted in gold or battleship color.
