[About the actual device]
The F-35A Lightning II is the aircraft that the Japan Air Self-Defense Force has begun deploying as a successor to the F-4 and F-15 fighter jets.
This is a fifth-generation multirole fighter jet developed through international collaboration, primarily led by Lockheed Martin of the United States.
This single aircraft was designed to handle a variety of missions not only within the Air Force, but also within the Navy and Marine Corps.
While the basics are standardized, the specifications differ depending on the operational method.
Among them, the F-35A, a conventional takeoff and landing variant, was developed specifically for the Air Force.
The engine was a single Pratt & Whitney F135 turbofan engine.
The aircraft, with its highly stealthy shape, is equipped with weapon bays, allowing missiles and other weapons to be stored inside.
In addition, there are six hardpoints installed under the wings.
It entered service in 2016, and was deployed and put into operation by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force in 2018, where it plays an active role as the latest main fighter jet.

This is a 1/72 scale plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the F-35A Lightning II, which has been newly deployed and put into operation by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force.
The kit uses parts made by Italeri of Italy.
This kit models the F-35 Lightning II of the 303rd Squadron, which began deployment to Komatsu Air Base in April 2024.
The squadron's emblem, prominently displayed on the vertical stabilizer, and the "Fighting Dragon" motif, inspired by the dragon said to inhabit Mount Hakusan, are not to be missed.
Furthermore, this set also includes dedicated photo-etched parts for detailing.
The specially designed etching parts set, which is provided separately, is included in the set.
The photo-etched parts include not only cockpit components such as instrument panels and seat belts, but also parts to represent the details of various parts of the aircraft, as well as parts for wheel chocks used when the aircraft is parked, air intake covers, and engine nozzles.
Of course, the style of the latest stealth aircraft is accurately modeled not only in shape but also in details such as panel lines.
The cockpit, landing gear, and even the interior of the weapon bays are all meticulously reproduced.
