We recreated the F-8E cockpit using 3D modeling and 3D printing.
This set includes a cockpit tab, instrument panel (anti-glare shield), reflector, and MBMk.F7 ejection seat.
This is the cockpit of an F-8E, one of the many subtypes of the F-8 Crusader, which features the AN/APQ-94 radar display unit mounted above the instrument panel.
We also reproduced details such as the rudder pedals in front of the cockpit tab, the side console, and the canopy opening and closing mechanism behind the ejection seat.
The shape has been adjusted for academy use.
You will need to remove the anti-glare shield from the kit, but no other modifications are necessary.
A Mk.F7 ejection seat is also included.
Early F-8 Crusader models were equipped with VOUGHT ejection seats, but these were replaced with MB Mk.F5A seats in the F-8D and later models.
The Mk.F7 recreated here features an ejection seat, which was installed as a replacement part in subtypes other than the F-8A.
