Product Description

The T-72, which is used as the main battle tank in Russia, has been in production for over 50 years since its prototype was first produced in 1970.
However, through improvements, it has been modernized and is still used in combat today.
The T72-B3, which is the base of this kit, is a modernized version of the outdated T-72B/B1/BA.
Arene-M is an Active Protection System that uses radar to detect and intercept drones and other projectiles attacking from tanks and other vehicles.
In July 2026, Ukraine announced that a T72-B3, believed to be equipped with the Arena M, had been deployed near the village of Mayak in the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine.
It appears that the interception by the T-72B3 Arena was considered a success.
The Russian assault at that time was repelled, and the vehicle was ultimately destroyed.
Some believe that the new active protection system could potentially revive the mobile warfare capabilities that tanks originally possessed.
