Tomix Sample Digest (At Tomytec New Product Announcement Fair)

Here is the rest of the report from the Tomytec product announcement fair last week.
We shall have a look at the sample images of the new Tomix products.

- 92968 [Limited Edition] Sayonara Series500 Tokaido/Sanyo Shinkansen (Nozomi) Set


The memorial set of Series 500 [Nozomi] that had retired from the Tokaido Shinkansen bullet train line in February this year.
The sight of the grand 16-car formation can only be seen in the world of train models now.
I'm sure it will be the target of attention if you took it to a model train convention or something!

- 92360 Series E2-100 Tohoku Shinkansen (Hayate) (Basic 3-Car Set)
- 92361 Series E2-100 Tohoku Shinkansen (Hayate) Add-on Set A (Add-on 4-Car Set)
- 92362 Series E2-100 Tohoku Shinkansen (Hayate) Add-on Set B (Add-on 3-Car Set)


The Series E2 No.100 with the pink stripe [Hayate] will guide you on your journey to Michinoku.
By joining each set, you will be able to form the full 10-car formation.

And for a trip to Shinshu, the red striped Series E2 No.0, [Asama].
The product is formed only as a 8-car set, so you can create a full formation right away!

The newbie of the keiyou line, the Series E233 No.5000~.
The prototype product had already been displayed.

- 92344 J.R. Series E231 Commuter Train (Sobu Line) (Add-on 4-Car Set)
- 8925 J.R. Saha E231 (Sobu Line)


The Sobu line, frequently used by the Hobby Search staff too!
You can form a full formation by collecting the Basic Set + Add-on Set + 3 of Single car Saha E231.

Personally, I like the part where it slows down as it nears the guardrail of the Electrical District of Akihabara Station.

- 92339 J.R. Series E231 Commuter Train (Joban Line) (Basic 5-Car Set)
- 92340 J.R. Series E231 Commuter Train (Joban Line) (Add-on 5-Car Set)


For this Joban Line, you can create the maximum length of 15-car formation by getting 2xBasic set + an add-on set.
The Sobu line and Joban line does have points that are different, other than just the stripe colors.

But yeah, whenever I see this train, I hear that song at the back of my head!

The two, always on the Joban Line~ *sings*

- 92819 Series 14-700 Passenger Car `Salon Car Naniwa` (7-Car Set)


The [Salon Car Naniwa], still active in the JR West even 'til this day.
The observatory at the end resembles the design of the former series Maite 49.

- 2222 TypeDE10-1000 Diesel Locomotive

- 2223 TypeDE10-1000 Diesel Locomotive (JR Freight New Updated Car)


The 2 types of the type DE10 No.1000. Turned into an N-Scale, as a complete renewal.
It was displayed on a diorama, and you could feel an aura projected from it.
This is something that would really want to hold in your hands and take a proper look at.

- 9101 Electric Locomotive Type EF64-0 (4th type)
- 9102 Electric Locomotive Type EF64-0 (7th type)
- 9103 Electric Locomotive Type EF64-0 (7th type/JR Freight Renewal Car )
- 9105 EF65-500 Electric Locomotive (P-type Late type)


Here are 4 locomotives above, and they are all very nice.
The EF64 positioned in Shinonoi district or Kofu district is a locomotive for the sloped lines, also called the mountain man (Yama Otoko).
They are active as the freight train towards the Chuou Main Line. The 4th generation type and 7th generation types, they both have such presence!

And parked to the very right, is the Type EF65 No.500~ (P-Type Late Type).


- 2749 Type Koki105 (w/o Container 2-Car Set)


The main train used for container transport here in Japan is the Series Koki 100 freight car, but out of that, the characteristics of type Koki 105 is that its formed as 2-car unit.
The model is also scheduled for release as a 2 car set.


- 2729 J.N.R. Wagon Type Pomu1 (Pottery Carrier)


Currently taking preorders, along with the Type Wamu 90000, is the Type Pomu 1.
It's appearance is very much like that of Type Wamu 90000, but as it is a freight car specifically designed for pottery transport, it has shelves inside for the pottery.

It was actively transporting tiles, mainly around the Nagoya region, so it may be a freight car that is very familiar for those of you that lives in the Chukyo region... I think.
The kanji for 'Na' for 'Nagoya' is written on its own on the left half of the body.

Whither it be in the past or the future, I believe this is the only freight car to have 'Po' in it's name.
And taking a step into my imagination...

"Uncle Pomu!"

"Fuhuhu, the voice of ya young tiles are so tiny..."

Here is the range of Capital Region Colored Series Kiha 20, consisting of Type Kiha 20, Type Kiha 25, and Type Kiha 22.
A recommended item for recreating the trains of the local lines.
By the way, the "Capital Region Color" in the definition of the JNR is "Red color No.5".
In other words, orange-ish color, what is called the persimmon color here in Japan.
As a move to simplify (rationalization, or just laziness?) the coloring process, the locomotives stationed in the capital region were colored with this color, and thus named the capital region color.
As a result, there are some that had leaked outside the capital region, so some are outside the capital, even to this date.

The Old Type Passenger Car series are really being filled with great items.
They really do match the items such as the steam locomotive (eg. C57), electric locomotive (eg. ED75), and the diesel locomotive (eg. ) etc.

Now, these products, excluding the Mani60, are able to have their doors swapped. With the door changed, the atmosphere of the train will surely change. So for those of you that would like to increase the variation, you might be interested in using the replacement door set (product no. 0891, 0892).


[HO-Scale]

- HO-607 Takamatsu-Kotohira Electric Railroad Type3000 (Retro Coloring)


Here is the Retro coloring of the Kotoden Type 3000.
It's made with very fine details, only achievable in the HO scale; I think its very well worth paying attention to.

- HO-231 J.N.R. Diesel Locomotive Type DF50 (Vermilion Early Period) *Prestige Model


This time, here is the image of the roof.
The bell, monitor, and fan (?) etc. seems to be made so well, it really would make you want to observe it very closely.
