Tomytec Sample Digest (at Tomytec New Product Announcement Fair)
Hello, Kapinozuka here.
This is also continuing with the Tomytec product announcement fair report from last week.
This time, we will be having a look at the Tomytec New Hobby (Diorama Collection Related) product sample photos.

Now, this article have some photos that are off focus, due to me taking them after the explanations had finished and while they were starting to pack up, thus requiring to rush through the products. So I would greatly appreciate your understanding.

The Bus Collection Fuji Heavy Industries 5E (5-Car Set) A

Slated for release this week, this is the Bus Collection Fuji Heavy Industries 5E set A.
There are many buses in Japan that have the body of 5E decorated, and this time 5 different companies, the Nishi Tokyo Bus Company, Yokohama Traffic Bureau, Kyoto Bus, Hiroshima Bus, and Ryukyu Bus Kotsu Corporation selected for the lined up.

The Bus Collection Nishi-nippon Shatai Kogyo 96MC Non-Step Bus (5-Car Set) A

The Nishi-nippon Shatai Kogyo 96MC 5 car set.
Includes Tokyo City Transport Bureau, Kawasaki City Transport Bureau, Kyoto City Transport Bureau, Osaka City Transport Bureau, and Sasebo City Transport Bureau, for a set that puts the spotlight on the transportation bureau of Kanto to Kyushu, a rather interesting set, in a sense.

The Car Collection Vol.11

The Car Collection Vol.11 has a subtitle of "The City Corner of memories Edition".
In order from the top, Dihatsu Midget MP, Subaru 360, Toyopet Masterline, Toyopet Crown has been selected for the lineup!
With 12 normal types + 4 secrets, for a total of 16 different types in this series.
This would be very much recommended for a diorama reproducing the scenery of the city around the Showa year 30 periods. Of course, you could use it in a modern cityscape and just call it a "Classic car" or "Retro car" etc. too.

The Truck Collection Vol.7 12 pieces

The popular Truck Collection Vol.7 is quite the spectacle when you line them all up like this.
And the 6 trucks on the right are cargo container carrier trucks.
Plus, these cargos are actually detachable...

So you can load it onto the Koki Series 100 (Cargo Freight Car)!
Hmmmm, this looks awfully familiar.

The Truck Collection Vol.7, its not just for the truck fans, but great for the container fans too, so don't miss out.

The Railway Collection Vol.12 10 pieces

The image taken while they were packing up!
The Choshi Electric Rails was the only one displayed fully painted.

The Railway Collection JNR Series 70 Chuo West Line (4-Car Set)
The Railway Collection JNR Series 70 Hanwa Rapid (4-Car Set)

The Railway Collection JNR Series 70 was displayed unpainted.
This time, it's the "Full Metal Car", in another words, the completely metallic cars No.300~ has been reproduced.

Moving on, lets check out the Building Collections.

Hot-spring Inn A

A hot spring Inn with an observation tower.

Hot-spring Inn B

A hot spring inn with steel structure.

Hot-spring Inn C

A 3-story hot spring with wooden structure.
Sorry for the Hot-spring C being slightly off focus.

By collecting these, you will be able to create a hot-spring town.

City Buildings of Showa A Office
City Buildings of Showa B Apartment Building
City Buildings of Showa C Hotel

The Showa buildings A~C can all be separated, so by buying multiple, you can adjust the height by adding or subtracting floors.

And the Showa Building C...
Don't you think its similar to the City Hunter's Detective Agency Office?

Hospital A

This Hospital A can be split sideways into 4 pieces, so you can buy multiple to extend the size. It's not in the image, but a roofed passage parts connecting buildings has also been included.

Other than using it as a hospital, you could also use it as a wooden school building too, in my opinion. With a little adjustments, it could even be made into the Tomobiki High School, I imagine.

Hospital B

This Hospital B has been structured to be able to separate vertically as well as horizontally.
By collecting multiples, you could really make a massive hospital.

And just like the Hospital A, you might also be able to use it as a school building too.

But honestly, the Hosiptal A and B were both larger than I expected.
By splitting and combining it to enlarge it, the building could really become a huge presence.

Visual Scene Accessory 059 Tent

There could be many use for these, such as Athletic Festivals, Flea Market stalls, Carnivals etc.

I apologize for only managing to take photos of this one from the Visual Scene Accessory series. The Vinyl Greenhouse and Tugboat had already been packed up.

The Car Collection 80 HG 019 Miyako Taxi

One of the new items of the Car Collection 80 HG Series,
Is the Showa year 50 Nissan Bluebird Miyako Taxi!
It will really match the scenery of Kyoto.

The Car Collection 80 HG 020 Greencab

And the other one is the Crown, as the Green Cab!
Although I forgot to check if it's the Crown Sedan or Crown Comfort!
I apologize.

I'm sure there will be people that could tell the difference just by looking at it, but I'm one of those people that judge by the break light design.

[Other Scales]

Controller for The Railway Collection - JNR Series 101 Cab Style Controller Set
Controller for The Railway Collection - JNR Series 101 Cab Style Controller Master controller & Brake Set
Controller for The Railway Collection - JNR Series 101 Cab Style Controller Meter & Door control Set

A controller that is seriously similar to the real thing.
It even has a sound gimmick installed.

It is 1/3 scale, is it larger than expected? Or smaller than expected?
The reaction may differ depending on how you look at it, but either way, the quality of this will excite anyone that admires the drivers of trains!

In addition, this was developed simply as the power unit of the Railway Collection, so it has been set with low power output.

There is a possibility that other N-scale models that are not the Railway Collection may not run smoothly with this. Please check the specifications when making a purchase.

Car Number Collection - 201Series Chuo Line H4 Car Formation (Number Plate)
Car Number Collection - 201Series Chuo Line H7 Car Formation (Number Plate)

Picking up just the numbers of the Chuo Line Limited Express Series 201 cars, this Car Number Collection has those numbers made at the same size as the Sabo Collection!

The Chuo Line Rapid Service Series 201 has stainless steel cutout numbers placed on the body.
And to reproduce that effect, this product has been made with slight mount.

Series 201 Chuo Line Rapid Service Front Rollsign Keychain

Next up is the item that Tominon likes (!?), the Roll Signs!
Since it was introduced in the article the other day, I won't go into detail here.

DHM-03 Electric Side Rollsign Series 103 Keihin-Tohoku Line

Having a sign saying "Yamanote Line", although its for the Keihim Tohoku Line,
It may be puzzling, but apparently it was prepared incase there is an emergency where the train on the Keihim Tohoku Line may need to help out on the Yamanote line.

DHM-03 Electric Side Rollsign Series 103 Sobu Line

And the sign that says "For Toyoda" even though it's for the Sobu Line...!!
Well, this is used as general equipment for the capital region, they are able to display destinations that are unrelated to their line.

As the JNR had been realigning trains at large scale,
they made it so even if the XXXX line had been repositioned to the YYYY line,
all they need to do is to re-pain the train.

And here is the item to control the electric roll sign.

SR-01 Controller

This is not a new product, but have a look at the close up image anyway.
The two dials at the center is used to adjust the ones and tens digits, shown in the middle, and when you press the activation button to the top left, the roll sign from before will activate.
Be careful though, as the roll sign will not do anything without this.

Early Sabo Collection 12 pieces

The new series of the Sabo Collection, here are the 1/10 scale Early Sabo, the destination plate from back in the old days. Back in the days of Japan when there were no such thing as a roll sign, they just hang a big destination plate at the front of the train.

The Early Sabo Collection is slightly smaller than the standard trading cards.
Quite a handy size, I say.
I would recommend using trading card folders commercially sold at shops!

By the way, "Sabo" apparently is an abbreviation for "Sign Board".
At present, people calls the destination signs "Sabo", even if they are roll signs or LED style signs etc. and I guess that's just remnants of the past era.

So anyway, sorry for the report being so long,
But that's it for the Tomytec New Product Announcement Fair Report.
