[Actual vehicle guide]
- The Marine liner of the Seto Ohashi Bridge line, which began active in October 2003, is operated by JR West owned 223-5000 series and JR Shikoku owned 5000 series.
- 223 - 5000 series is based on 223 - 2000 series active in the Kansai area, and it is made to pass through using the hood frame when connecting the leading cars to each other.
- Two floor type 5100 is based on E 217 series Salo and 5200 · 5000 type is based on 223 - 2000 series.
