[Product Introduction]
- The DD51 was manufactured starting in 1962 and was a representative diesel locomotive of the Japanese National Railways, seen throughout Japan except for Shikoku.
- Due to their long production run and deployment at numerous bases, a variety of specifications exist, and they were used for both express and freight trains, primarily on non-electrified sections of track.
- Even after the transition to JR, it was responsible for pulling Blue Trains and was active on trains such as the Hokutosei and Izumo until the 2000s.
- A small number of these trains still remain in service and are used for special trains and other limited-time services.
- A new warm-climate JR specification model will be added to KATO's DD51 lineup.
- We will recreate the exterior appearance, including the installation of train radio antennas, removal of SG exhaust vents, and the installation of tablet protection fences on the roof.
- It is ideal as a traction engine for the <10-2253/2254 24 Series 25 Type Sleeper Express [Izumo]> which is scheduled to be released around the same time.

[Product features]
- A model of a locomotive belonging to the Goto General Rolling Stock Depot around 2005.
- The cab replicates the configuration with a single train radio antenna and a tablet protection fence.
- Recreating the roof where a portion was cut out to install the train radio antenna and the steam generator exhaust vent was removed.
- The radiator cover is a two-piece type, and the front window wipers are reproduced in silver.
- The jumper plug receptacle on the front handrail is reproduced in white, and the H-rubber on each part is reproduced in black.
- Headlights illuminate (using warm white LEDs)
- Features a GM-5 motor with a flywheel for stable operation.
- Standard equipped with Arnold couplers, replacement knuckle couplers included.
- Reproduces a block-style license plate. Selectable license plates: [1179][1186][1187][1192] Manufacturer's nameplate: [Hitachi] printed.
- Includes two [Izumo] headmarks.
