The tuxedo-bodied train is back on the Joban Line! We've produced a product featuring the <651 series train homage color> that operates on the [Hitachi] and [Tokiwa] lines.

[Product Introduction]
- The E657 series was introduced in 2011 as a limited express AC/DC electric train for the JR Joban Line, and is still in service today as a limited express train operating on the same line and the Ueno-Tokyo Line between Shinagawa and Sendai.
- In 2026, the 15th anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake will be marked, and as a special project for the Fukushima Destination Campaign, JR East has been operating a specially painted E657 series limited express train since April of that year, featuring a homage color scheme based on the 651 series [Super Hitachi].
- At the time, the 651 series was active as a local train and was a familiar sight on the Joban Line until full service resumed in 2020.
- We will be producing a special edition product featuring the E657 series in a 651 series homage color scheme, designed to evoke a sense of hope and nostalgia for residents of the region.
- Enjoy the unique model-only collaboration with trains that operate within the JR East Japan area, including the Sendai area north of Haranomachi, such as the E721 series (various types, 10-2091 to 2093), the E657 series in various revival colors, and the 651 series [Super Hitachi].

[Product features]
- The K1 train set belonging to the Katsuta Train Depot will be made into a product.
- Beautifully reproduces the milky white and gray colors and olive green lines at the bottom, inspired by the 651 series.
- Accurately reproduces the JR mark, whose position was changed due to repainting.
- Reproduces the insulators and high-voltage equipment around the pantograph, which are unique to AC/DC electric trains, as well as the train radio antenna and WiMAX antenna on the roof.
- The adoption of a slotless motor achieves smooth and quiet operation.
- The intermediate coupling sections are equipped with body-mounted KATO couplers (close-coupling type) and inter-car dampers as standard.
- Underfloor equipment, bogies, inter-car dampers, and dummy couplers on the leading cars are reproduced in gray.
- The front and side windows use green tinted glass, just like the actual train.
