[What is King Tiger V1]
- In 1942, Henschel began developing a new tank equipped with a 71 caliber 8.8 cm gun KwK43, and was given the development name of VK4503 (H) by the Ordnance Bureau.
- In June 1943, the name was changed to the official Tiger B model.
- Prototype No. 1 car (V1) was completed in November 1943, and in January 1944, prototype No. 2 and No. 3 cars (V2, V3) and 3 production models were completed.
