[Vehicle Guide]
-The DF200 appeared in 1992 as an electric diesel locomotive developed by JR Freight
-Has been active only in Hokkaido since its appearance, but some of the 100s will be transferred to Honshu from 2016, and will be reworked, mainly on the Kansai Main Line, following a remodeling construction
-The DF200 is a JR locomotive diesel locomotive that appeared in 1994 (Heisei 6).
-The drive system is electrically driven, and the control system adopted VVVF inverter control.
-With the advent of the 100th edition, the equipment was updated in 200 (Heisei 17), and it has been used as a towing machine for freight trains in Hokkaido.
-Some of the 100s were remodeled in 2016 and changed to the 200s.
-Modifications were made focusing on changes in security equipment and soundproofing, and became affiliated with the Aichi Institutional District and replaced with DD51 in the same district.
-Currently active mainly in the Kansai Main Line.
